Terms & Conditions

Please read these carefully.

These terms and conditions apply to all interaction with The Shropshire Flower Company and, by accessing this website and/or by placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below.

Flowers

1.1 Certain products may be delivered in bud.

1.2 Some plants or flowers may be harmful or poisonous to humans or animals and should be used for decorative purposes only. None of our products are edible. Occasionally our arrangements contain fruit, nuts, berries or seeds - these are not edible.

1.3 All products are subject to availability. If you have requested specific blooms we will do our best to supply these but we reserve the right to make an appropriate substitution and occasionally when necessary we will source flowers from alternative UK growers.  Your flowers will always be British.

1.4 We do not guarantee a particular vase life for our flowers, but if you look after them carefully by ensuring fresh clean water on a daily basis and a trim of the stems after several days then their longevity will be prolonged.  They should not be left by a heat source or a fruit bowl as this may cause early deterioration.

1.5 Once cut our locally grown seasonal flowers are not treated with any chemicals or preservatives, as can be the case with imported flowers. They are cut within 24 hours of delivery and conditioned in a cool space for several hours.  We take delight in all the different stem shapes and widths and hope you do too.

Prices, orders and payments

2.1 All prices given in a written quote are valid for 14 days only. If the prices are not accepted within 14 days and either paid in full or the booking fee paid the prices may be subject to change.

2.2 A booking fee of £50 is payable when you book The Shropshire Flower Company to design the flowers for your wedding or event. Paying this booking fee implies you accept our terms and conditions. This booking fee will be taken off the final balance but is not refundable if you cancel your booking for any reason. The final fee for weddings and events is payable in full 2 weeks prior to delivery of any items and no refund will be made if the event or wedding is subsequently cancelled.

2.3 During any order submission you will be required to supply us with accurate personal details and accurate details of the intended recipient and all the necessary payment details.

2.4 Gift bouquets should be paid for at the time of ordering and subscription flowers should be paid for either in advance or through a standing order process.

2.5 Workshops must be paid for in full to secure a place.

Cancellation policy

Our workshops often require a significant amount of work behind the scenes in the run up to the event and as such we are unable to offer refunds when cancellation is requested within 2 weeks of the set date.   If you need to cancel for any reason after this date then where possible (for example christmas wreath making workshops) we will set aside the relevant material, along with some written instructions, for you to make your own at home.  We will liaise directly with you to agree a mutually convenient time for collection.  You can of course send a friend or family member in your place for the workshop if you prefer.

Deliveries

3.1 All deliveries are subject to agreement by us. Collection is available only by appointment.

3.2 Anomalies in your order details may lead to problems or delays in delivery, so please ensure that you provide full and accurate details for delivery including full address and postcode, the name of the recipient as well as their contact number, and then also your contact number too so we can let you know of any issues.

3.3 It is your responsibility to ensure that the person or persons in receipt of flowers are available at the address provided on the agreed delivery date.  Where no-one is available we will try to leave with a neighbour or safe place and leave a calling card in the intended recipients door.

3.4 Where deliveries are made to a third party eg offices, hospitals, hotels etc the signature of any person authorised to accept deliveries on behalf of the organisation shall be deemed as accepted proof of delivery.  We cannot be held responsible if that person then fails to deliver to the correct person.

3.5 Whilst we agree to ensure delivery on the agreed delivery date we cannot guarantee a specific time and on occasion where circumstances are out of our control and we cannot deliver we will contact you as soon as possible to re-arrange another delivery date or we will reimburse you in full.
